Millennium Park, the area surrounding this iconic sculpture, a masterpiece by British-American artist Anish Kapoor, had been under renovation since August 2023. The renovation project included the construction of accessible ramps, new stairs and a waterproofing system. These enhancements aimed to improve the overall visitor experience and ensure the longevity of this cherished city symbol. The Bean, formally recognized as the Cloud Gate, is a massive structure weighing 110 tons.
