Wattpad is reportedly down for many users on July 8, according to Downdetector.

Based on data showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports started climbing above normal levels since around 9:38AM Eastern Time. User comments included "it keeps giving me errors" and "it won't let me save the book."

 

Many users have also taken to social media to express difficulties connecting to Wattpad.

 

 

 

Wattpad's official status page is indicating "minor service outage" at the time of this post, with "degraded performance" for general usability, and "partial outage" for email message delivery.

 

 

Wattpad is home to a popular community of readers and writers who connect through the power of story, making it one of the world’s most-loved social storytelling platform. As of July 2024, Wattpad reported having 94 million users. It has become a creative hub where aspiring authors gain visibility, and established writers engage with their audience.
