The pop-up experience, which opened on July 15 at the city’s Selfridges, is a whimsical ode to Britain’s beloved takeaway, transforms the iconic department store into a seaside haven for soft toy keepers. As they step into the Jellycat Fish & Chip shop, fans will be transported to a world where cod is cuddly and chips are irresistibly soft. The shop, designed to mimic a traditional chippy, is a feast for the eyes. From the giant, plush Timmy Turtle perched in the driver’s seat of the fish and chip van to the array of adorable amuseables behind the counter, every detail has been crafted to evoke the charm of a seaside escape.
