Members Marshy Posted July 18 Members Posted July 18 Who knew a croissant could be so chic? French designer Jamin Puech has transformed the buttery pastry into a bonafide fashion statement with the Frenchie Croissant bag. This accessory, as its name suggests, delicately shaped like a buttery, flaky pastry. But instead of layers of laminated dough, the delight is made entirely from thousands of tiny glass beads, lovely hand-stitched together. Puech has taken one of France’s most iconic and delectable symbols and given it a glamorous makeover. It’s a decent size—16 by 25 by 10 centimeters (6.3 by 3.9 inches)—but weighs a surprisingly hefty 455 grams. The bag is made from a mix of rayon, cotton, and cow leather. The designers have captured the golden hue of a freshly baked croissant with delicate beadwork, creating a truly eye-catching accessory. You will need to splash a little dough to take one of these home, though. Each serving is priced at €710, which is about US$776. Bon appetit!
