Based on the graph showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of reports started surging since 9:49AM Eastern Time. Many viewers have also turned to social media to vent frustration over the sudden interruption. At the time of this post, Crunchyroll's official status page is showing "all services are running" so it's likely that only some users are experiencing downtime. Crunchyroll has carved a niche for itself by focusing primarily on anime, a genre of animation that originated in Japan.
