Status Is Down Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Gmail and Google Drive are reportedly down for thousands of users on August 8, according to DownDetector. Based on the graphs showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports for Gmail started surging since around 3:04PM Eastern Time, while Google Drive's rose later in the day at around 5:49PM. Many users have also turned to social media to indicate connectivity issues. At the time of this post, Google Workspace's official status page is showing "service disrupted" status for both Gmail and Google Drive.
