Status Is Down Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Discord is reportedly down for hundreds of users on August 8, according to DownDetector. Based on data showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports first surged sharply around 4:44PM Eastern Time, and has fluctuated at an elevated level since. Some users commented "couldn't access server while everything else working fine" and "keep randomly disconnecting and reconnecting." Others indicated that the popular messaging platform seems to load ok on the app, but having issues with the web (Chrome) version. At the time of this post, Discord's official status page is showing "all systems operational" so it's likely that the issues are affecting some users only. Discord is an instant messaging and VoIP social platform that enables communication through voice calls, video calls, text messaging, and media. Initially designed for gamers, its user base has expanded to include a variety of other topics and services, including for popular AI image generator Midjourney.
