Garth Gator
App-parent-ly, it’s time for a blast from the past! Noah Ritter, the boy who unwittingly became an internet sensation as the “Apparently Kid,” has returned to the scene of his unexpected rise to fame. 10 years on, the now 15-year-old revisited the spot where his impromptu, adorable commentary during a local news interview with WNEP turned him into a global star. Ritter recreated his iconic line, “And apparently, I’ve never been on live television before,” in front of live television on WNEP again. Standing in the same place where it all began, the nostalgia was thick in the air. It’s a surreal full-circle moment for a kid who was just five when his life took an unexpected detour. From the Ellen DeGeneres Show to rubbing shoulders with Hollywood A-listers like Jennifer Garner, Sofia Vergara, and Jim Carrey, Ritter’s journey has been anything but ordinary. But amidst the glitz and glamor, he’s managed to keep his feet firmly grounded. His YouTube channel, a joint venture with his beloved “Grandpa Jack,” continues to be a hit. Juggling a busy high school life hasn’t stopped Ritter from maintaining his annual tradition of attending the local fair with Grandpa Jack. “I wouldn’t trade my buddy for the world,” he says, underscoring their special bond. https://www.mensjournal.com/news/apparently-kid-noah-ritter-recreates-viral-moment https://people.com/watch-the-apparently-kid-recreate-viral-video-10-years-later-8691970 https://toofab.com/2024/08/08/what-apparently-kid-looks-like-now/ Image: Gantar Pri | Dreamstime.com
