Status Is Down Posted August 14 Posted August 14 GitHub is down for thousands of users on August 14. According to outage tracking service DownDetector, the volume of user reports surged around 6:42PM Eastern Time. Many GitHub users have also turned to social media to indicate connectivity issues. At the time of this post, GitHub's official status page is showing "all services are experiencing significant disruptions." It has also acknowledged the issue via its official X account, saying that the issue is caused by "a database infrastructure related change" resulting in "interruptions in multiple public GitHub services."
