Character.AI (c.ai) is reportedly down for many users on August 14, according to DownDetector.

 

Based on the graph showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports surged around 9:34PM Eastern Time.

 

Many users have also taken to social media to vent frustration over the downtime.

 

However, at the time of this post, Character.AI's official status page is showing "all systems oeprational" so it's likely that the outage is affecting some users only.
