And guess what? It’s bucking the trend by putting a woman in charge. In The Office Australia, Felicity Ward takes the reins as Hannah Howard, the managing director of the fictional packaging company Flinley Craddick. She’s the first-ever female boss to navigate the choppy waters of office life in a sea of Michael Scotts and David Brents. Prime Video has shared first-look imagery of Hannah in her workplace. As their Aussie counterpart, Howard faces a uniquely modern challenge: keeping her “work family” together when head office decides to shut down her branch and transition everyone to remote work. “The staff of Flinley Craddick indulge her and must endure Hannah’s outlandish plots as they work toward the impossible targets that have been set for them,” the synopsis reads. The premise taps into contemporary workplace issues, promising to blend familiar Office-style humor with timely themes. Supporting Ward is an ensemble cast featuring talent from both sides of the Tasman Sea, including Edith Poor, Steen Raskopoulos, and Josh Thomson. The series is a collaborative effort between BBC Studios Australia & New Zealand, Bunya Entertainment, and Amazon MGM Studios. https://deadline.com/2024/08/the-office-australia-prime-video-reveals-premiere-date-first-look-new-boss-1236043188/ https://www.bandt.com.au/prime-video-announces-australian-version-of-the-office-is-launching-starring-felicity-ward/ https://www.justjared.com/2024/08/19/prime-video-debuts-first-look-at-australian-the-office-premiere-date-full-cast-revealed/ Images: Amazon MGM Studios
