Tesla’s highly anticipated Cybertruck, an innovative electric truck, has hit the road, but not without a few unexpected bumps. Recent reports have surfaced detailing a rather unsightly issue: numerous Cybertrucks are being delivered to customers covered in dirt and mud. Given the Cybertruck’s hefty price tag, owners naturally expect a premium product, and this far from showroom-ready condition has left many feeling disappointed and frustrated.

Instead of the gleaming new electric truck they anticipated, many Cybertruck owners have found themselves facing a daunting cleaning task. The vehicles are arriving at delivery centers far from showroom-ready, with some covered in stubborn residue. Tesla has reportedly advised staff at delivery centers to tackle the grime with dish soap, while some customers have resorted to using rubbing alcohol to remove stubborn sticky substances.

The cause of this issue appears to be a combination of factors. Tesla’s factory is currently undergoing expansion, exposing vehicles to dust and debris during production. Additionally, the Cybertruck’s unique stainless-steel body is more challenging to clean than other Tesla models. Former employees have noted that detailing a Cybertruck can take significantly longer than cleaning other Tesla vehicles.

Despite the initial inconvenience, some owners have expressed overall satisfaction with their purchase after addressing the cleanliness issues. However, the inconsistency in delivery quality has raised concerns about Tesla’s quality control and customer service practices.

Tesla has acknowledged the problem and is working to improve cleaning procedures at delivery centers. Given these factors, potential Cybertruck owners should be cautious and consider a pre-delivery inspection or wash to protect their investment.

What are your thoughts on this issue?
