The creation of ‘SirDavis’ is not just a business move, but a personal tribute. The whisky is named after Davis Hogue, Knowles-Carter’s paternal great-grandfather. A farmer and moonshiner during Prohibition, Hogue would hide whisky bottles in the hollows of cedar trees for friends and family. This discovery inspired Knowles-Carter to create her own whisky brand. ‘SirDavis’ is a unique blend of 51% rye and 49% malted barley. The whiskey offers a robust and deep flavor typical of classic American rye, while its elegant mouthfeel and texture are reminiscent of Japanese and Scotch whiskies. This fusion of flavors reflects Knowles-Carter’s personal taste and her desire to invite more people to experience the power and confidence she associates with quality whisky.
