Citizen rolls out 'Deadpool & Wolverine' watches you'll want to get your claws on

Citizen is saying bye, bye, bye to regular wristwear with its latest Marvel-inspired watches, honoring the titular anti-heroes in Deadpool and Wolverine.

 

First, there’s the Here Comes Deadpool timepiece ($350), with an upside down Merc with a Mouth “breaking the fourth wall” by peeking out at the time-teller at the 12 o’clock mark. The 42mm black ion-plated stainless steel watch also features a red dial ring, while luminous hands, markers, and Deadpool’s eyes ensure the watch stands out, even in the dark.

 

 

The black leather strap with red topstitching ties the whole look together, making it unmistakably Deadpool.

 

 

For fans of the fierce and rugged Wolverine, Citizen’s wrist-sized variant ($425) channels Logan’s tough-as-nails persona. The 43mm black ion-plated stainless steel case holds a blue dial with luminous retractable claws, framed by a yellow outer ring. A nod to his X-Men roots, the X-Men logo sits at the 12 o’clock position, while the iconic “SNIKT!” sound effect is engraved on the case back.

 

 

 

 

Like the Deadpool watch, the Wolverine timepiece is powered by Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, meaning it runs on light and never needs a battery.

 

 

The Wolverine watch includes a simple date complication and a protective crown guard, adding a layer of ruggedness to its design. Meanwhile, the Deadpool watch offers both day and date complications, with a sleek guardless crown for a streamlined look.

 

 

The luminous features on both watches highlight their respective superhero themes.
