Is Fortnite down? [August 25, 2024]

Fortnite is reportedly down for hundreds of gamers on August 25, according to DownDetector.

 

Based on the graph showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports surged around 8:23PM Eastern Time.

 

Some players have also turned to social media to indicate that their games are not loading.

 

However, at the time of this post, Epic Games' official status page is showing "all systems operational" so it's likely that only some players are facing this downtime.

[UPDATE] At 10:12PM Eastern Time, Fortnite's official X account posted an update, indicating that "players are getting a Matchmaking Error when queueing for the current NA Champion Kuno & Renzo the Champion FNCS Cup."

 

Complaints of downtime continue to pop up on social media over the past few hours.
