Facebook users gawk at app logo's change to black—good thing it’s only temporary

Facebook’s iconic logo took an unexpected detour into the dark side on Friday. The social media giant’s familiar blue and white emblem suddenly turned black and blue on iOS devices, sparking confusion among iPhone users.

 

Users found themselves doing double-takes at their home screens as where once stood the blue square with its white ‘F’ now sported a black background.

 

 

Meta—Facebook’s parent company—has since stepped in to clear the air, explaining that the blackout was nothing but a glitch.

 

 

For those still seeing the error, a quick trip to the App Store for an update should do the trick.
