Tech YouTuber MKBHD is 'taking a break' to represent Team USA at World Ultimate Championships

Marques Brownlee, the YouTube sensation better known as MKBHD, has traded his gadgets for a disc, embarking on a whirlwind adventure at the World Ultimate Championships (WUC).

 

Talking to his 19.4 million subscribers in a video entitled I’m Taking a Break, Brownlee announced a brief hiatus from his popular tech review channel as he’s  been selected to represent Team USA in the prestigious ultimate frisbee tournament Down Under.

 

After 17 years of professional play and multiple attempts to make the national team, Brownlee’s persistence has finally paid off. He shared the exciting news with his fans, expressing both enthusiasm and a touch of wistfulness about the tech events he’ll miss during his week-long absence.

 

“So if you're watching this when I’m publishing it, then that means that I am in Australia right now competing for a world championship, the World Ultimate Frisbee Championships,” Brownlee explained to his audience.

 

Brownlee’s followers may feel a temporary void without their regular dose of in-depth tech analysis. The tech guru's absence coincides with several major industry events, including the launch of the iPhone 16. However, Brownlee assured his fans that this break is just a brief intermission in his tech commentary career.

 

“I’m taking a little break,” he concluded, adding, “see you on the other side.”
