Garth Gator
The Transformers are rolling out in style for their 40th anniversary, and Japan’s Studio Trigger has taken the wheel for a nostalgic joyride that’s sure to rev up fans. Known for its work on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Delicious in Dungeon, the animation house has created a stunning three-minute tribute that packs in iconic moments from the franchise’s rich history. Set to the energetic tune of Mayday by BUMP OF CHICKEN, the video captures the essence of Transformers through generations. Though officially available only in Japan, fans outside the country have made sure the celebration doesn’t go unnoticed, sharing the tribute far and wide. The creative team behind this tribute includes key animators Masaru Sakamoto and Hiroki Mutaguchi, along with director Akira Amemiya. The video revisits classic moments from the original G1 series, Beast Wars, Transformers Animated, and even the live-action films. From the high-stakes battles between Optimus Prime and Megatron to the heart-wrenching death of Optimus in the 1986 movie, the film puts love and care into every film to ensure memories are roaring back to life. https://gizmodo.com/transformers-trigger-anniversary-video-2000498926 https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/latest/2024/9/13/studio-trigger-transformers-40th-anniversary-video https://animemojo.com/mecha/studio-trigger-has-created-the-perfect-tranformers-tribute-for-the-franchises-40th-anniversary-a18867 https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2024-08-29/studio-trigger-teases-transformers-40th-anniversary-promo-video/.214906 Image: Studio Trigger
