Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its latest global campaign, The Rise of Electric, featuring Hollywood star Bradley Cooper. This innovative initiative introduces the all-new electric G-Class, the G 580 with EQ Technology, showcasing the brand's dedication to innovation and sustainability.

The campaign, launched globally on September 13, 2024, features a visually captivating short film starring Bradley Cooper. In this cinematic piece, the electric G-Class conquers challenging terrains, demonstrating its off-road prowess and everyday practicality. The film's striking visuals create a world where the G-Class empowers individuals to fearlessly pursue their own paths, turning obstacles into opportunities for growth. A fresh rendition of the classic Ain't No Mountain High Enough perfectly complements the film, encapsulating the adventurous spirit of the G-Class.

Bradley Cooper's involvement in the campaign is far from a coincidental casting choice. The acclaimed actor and director has been a devoted G-Class enthusiast for nearly two decades, making him an authentic ambassador for the brand. His genuine passion for the iconic off-roader lends credibility and relatability to the campaign, resonating with both long-time fans and potential new customers.

The G 580 with EQ Technology represents a significant milestone for Mercedes-Benz as their first fully electric G-Class variant. This technological marvel boasts impressive specifications, including a quad-motor powertrain that delivers 579 horsepower and 859 pound-feet of torque. The result is a vehicle that can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 4.7 seconds, combining power with environmental consciousness.

While embracing cutting-edge electric technology, the new G-Class maintains its iconic design elements. The familiar boxy shape, visible door hinges, and spare wheel case on the tailgate all remain, preserving the vehicle's distinctive character. However, the electric version introduces exciting new capabilities, such as the ability to perform a "tank turn" and navigate through deeper water than its internal combustion engine counterpart.

Extending beyond the short film, The Rise of Electric employs a multi-faceted approach, leveraging social media, television commercials, and print advertisements to broadcast its message of electrification and innovation to a diverse, global audience. With the electric G-Class and Bradley Cooper at the helm, Mercedes-Benz not only reimagines an iconic vehicle but also charts an exciting course towards a more sustainable and innovative automotive future.
