Duolingo is now pushing you to learn music with a portable wooden piano

Duolingo has taken a surprising key change, partnering with musical instrument maker Loog to launch… a piano. Will it be music to beginners’ ears?

 

Aimed to complement the new music courses by Duolingo, an app typically associated with languages, the Loog x Duolingo portable digital keyboard aims to make learning the piano fun and stress-free for newbies of all ages.

 

 

The instrument doesn’t just look good with its solid wood side panels and fabric-covered top that houses built-in speakers—it also sounds impressive. One of its star features is its ability to convey dynamics, a crucial aspect of playing music. The velocity-sensitive keys allow you to play softly (piano) or loudly (forte), depending on how hard you press them—just like a traditional acoustic piano. This kind of expression is rare in keyboards of this size and price, making it an accessible option for those just starting their musical journey.

 

 

 

With its compact three-octave design and 37 keys, this keyboard is made for both portability and versatility. Built-in stereo speakers and a rechargeable battery mean you can practice wherever inspiration strikes.
