McDonald's 'Boo Buckets' return for Halloween, now with new monster designs and stickers for customization

McDonald’s is resurrecting a cherished Halloween tradition that’s sure to thrill fans across generations. The iconic Boo Buckets are making a spooky return for Halloween 2024, offering a delightful mix of nostalgia and modern fun.

 

Since their debut in 1986, these Halloween-themed pails have become a seasonal favorite. For 2024, McDonald’s is brewing up something new. The latest collection features four distinct designs: the familiar orange, green, and white buckets, now joined by a blue bucket replacing last year’s purple version. Each bucket showcases a playful monster face with gleaming yellow eyes and a mischievous grin, perfect for trick-or-treating or as spooky home decor. Unlike previous years’ themed characters like ghosts, witches, and Jack-o'-lanterns, this year's designs embrace more abstract, ambiguous monsters—ready to carry all your Halloween candy haul.

McDonald’s has added extra enchantment this year by including a set of Halloween-themed stickers with each bucket, allowing trick-or-treaters (and adults) to customize their pails with eerie accessories like wings, crystal balls, spiders, and witches’ brooms. This interactive element adds an exciting layer of fun to Halloween celebrations.

 

As in previous years, the Boo Buckets will be available for a limited time only, starting October 15. Customers can get these festive pails by ordering a Happy Meal at participating McDonald’s locations, in the restaurant, or through the app. The buckets will temporarily replace the traditional Happy Meal box.
