Coloroscopio
The Las Vegas Sphere, a towering globe of light and sound, has once again transformed into a giant, grinning jack-o-lantern, just in time for Halloween. This year’s pumpkin-shaped spectacle is even more mischievous than last year's, with the digital pumpkin appearing to chomp on something—perhaps candy—before bursting into laughter and even a few spooky cackles. The orb itself is a relatively new addition to the Las Vegas landscape. Since its opening, it has quickly become a recognizable part of the city’s famous skyline. Touting a 250-foot, 16K resolution LED screen that wraps around its exterior, the $2.3 billion structure offers unparalleled visual possibilities and personas. While the Halloween display is grabbing attention now, the Sphere’s primary function is as an entertainment venue. Its pumpkin alter ego will go poof just as soon as the spooks of the night.
