Marshy
Pizza Hut Taiwan is serving up a slice of fright with its latest creation, and it’s not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach. This Halloween, the fast-food chain is asking diners to sink their teeth into a pizza that looks like it might bite back. The pie’s centerpiece is a ghoulish character with dark, claw-like hands covering its face, almost reminiscent of Edvard Munch’s The Scream. These eerie appendages aren’t made from your typical pizza toppings—they’re actually squid tentacles, deep-fried to rigid form (can you say, rigor mortis)? The monster’s peepers are preserved eggs, while pig blood cakes, another traditional Taiwanese specialty, flank the sides. The macabre creation’s perimeter, on the other hand (ha), features a mochi crust studded with spicy cherry tomatoes, adding a kick of heat to the chewy texture. To balance out these bold flavors, the pizza is topped with a mix of sweet and spicy mochi, along with the more familiar stretchy mozzarella cheese. Finally, garlic crisps are scattered across the surface, adding both crunch and a pungent aroma to this already complex flavor profile. Pizza Hut Taiwan’s spooky offering might be one of the most unique seasonal pizzas we’ve seen yet. Whether you’re brave enough to try it is another question entirely. The spooky menu item will be available from October 22 for NT$399 (US$12.40). https://www.pizzahut.com.tw/ https://www.instagram.com/p/DBIL85WTbGU/. https://blog.pizzahut.com.tw/2024M10WOW Images: Pizza Hut Taiwan
