Walmart’s Great Value brand has cooked up something enchanting for mac and cheese lovers with its new Wicked-themed 'Mystery Colour Macaroni and Cheese' cups. Adding an element of surprise to a familiar favorite, each microwaveable cup features either pink or green color-changing cheese, making every bite as fun as it is flavorful.

The packaging captures the vibrant spirit of the upcoming Wicked movie, with pink and green designs featuring silhouettes of iconic characters Elphaba and Glinda. The product challenges buyers to guess which color they’ll get, adding a whimsical touch just in time for Halloween. Whether purchased individually or in packs of six or twelve, each cup is priced at just $1, making it an affordable treat for both kids and adults.

Preparing the magical mac is simple—add water, stir, and watch the cheese turn into a striking pink or green hue. Though it starts as a traditional cheesy pasta, the transformation adds an exciting visual twist that’s sure to charm fans of both musical and adventurous foodies alike. Unfortunately, the product has already sold out online, but lucky shoppers might still find it in Walmart stores.

This playful product drop aligns with the much-anticipated release of Wicked: Part One, hitting theaters on November 22, 2024. Walmart has also leaned into the film’s buzz by offering a variety of themed merchandise across its stores. Shoppers can discover Wicked-inspired clothing, collectibles, books, and accessories, such as nail polish in Glinda’s signature pink and Elphaba’s emerald green. Additionally, Halloween enthusiasts can snag costumes for both children and adults, along with hoodies, backpacks, slippers, and jewelry tied to the beloved characters.

For those unfamiliar with the story, Wicked follows the journey of Elphaba (played by Cynthia Erivo), an extraordinary young woman with unique powers who unexpectedly bonds with Glinda (Ariana Grande), a seemingly superficial student. As their friendship grows, the story reveals that not everything—or everyone—is as “wicked” as it might seem.

With the second installment of Wicked scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, fans have plenty of time to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of the movie. Until then, Walmart’s 'Mystery Color Macaroni and Cheese' offers a delicious way to join the celebration—and perhaps add a bit of magic to your meal.

Would you dare to try this mac and cheese? And which color-changing cheese would you hope for—pink or green?
