The mystique of an artist's studio has long captivated art enthusiasts, and now the IFPDA Foundation is offering an extraordinary opportunity to peek behind these sacred curtains. In a groundbreaking initiative, eleven of New York's most celebrated artists, including iconic pop artist Jeff Koons of Balloon Dog fame and provocative contemporary artist Marilyn Minter, are welcoming visitors into their creative sanctuaries.

Curated by New York art advisor Sharon Coplan, this intimate experience is limited to just five visitors per studio, with a $1,000 USD entry fee that serves a noble cause. The initiative is spearheaded by the IFPDA Foundation, a nonprofit organization supported by the prestigious International Fine Print Dealers Association fair. The fair has recently made a notable return to its home at the Park Avenue Armory after a two-year stint at the Javits Center.

Joining Koons and Minter in this extraordinary initiative are acclaimed artists Katherine Bradford, Leonardo Drew, Jeffrey Gibson, Vera Lutter, Joel Mesler, Rashid Johnson, Tschabalala Self, Joel Shapiro, and Mickalene Thomas. Each visit promises an unfiltered glimpse into the spaces where artistic magic happens.

The impact of this initiative extends far beyond studio visits. While art enthusiasts gain rare access to these creative spaces, the program serves a broader educational mission. The expected $55,000 in proceeds will create transformative opportunities for students from historically Black colleges and universities, ranging from hands-on printmaking experiences to curatorial roles. This commitment to nurturing diverse talent has already made its mark through previous grants to renowned institutions, including the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Flint Institute of Arts, and the Rhode Island School of Design Museum.

For those eager to witness the alchemy of creation firsthand, tickets will be available from November 9 through November 19 on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on how to register for these exclusive studio visits, please visit the IFPDA Foundation website.
