Grinch-Who-Stole-Christmas-People-Sexiest-Man-Alive-John-Krasinski-Jeremy-Allen-White-1.jpg

Move over Calvin Klein—the mean, green resident of Mount Crumpit is flexing his newfound sex appeal. With People Magazine announcing its annual Sexiest Man Alive this time of year, the Grinch decided to throw his hat (and shorts) in the ring to make the most of his time before Christmas.

The notorious Christmas curmudgeon has taken to the official Dr Seuss social media accounts, no less, to star in a video reenacting the iconic Calvin Klein commercial fronted by Jeremy Allen White of The Bear fame.

The parody shows the Grinch striking poses in a white tank top and blue boxers before stripping down for some attention-grabbing pull-ups, culminating with the character lounging on a couch that mirrors the now-famous setting from White's campaign.

The clip was pitched as a “last-minute audition for People’s award,” crediting White as "an inspiration" for the Grinch’s suddenly sultry demeanor.

But while the Grinch brought his A-game, the official title for 2024’s Sexiest Man Alive went to John Krasinski.

Krasinski, the 45-year-old actor best known for his debut role as Jim Halpert in The Office, seemed genuinely surprised by the honor. His career has come a long way since the days of prank wars with Dwight Schrute.

After his success on The Office, Krasinski expanded his skill set by co-writing, directing, and starring in the acclaimed horror-thriller A Quiet Place and its sequel. He also took on the role of Jack Ryan in the action series of the same name, solidifying his place as a versatile actor.

The actor admitted that at first he thought the news was a prank. He went on to mention that his wife, actress Emily Blunt, was thrilled by the title. Krasinski joked that Blunt was considering using the cover of People magazine as wallpaper throughout their home.
