Based on the graph showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports surged around 7:04AM Eastern Time. Astound has also acknowledged the issue on X, indicating "A select group of customers may be experiencing an unplanned event that is impacting your service", and added that its "team has been notified and are working to restore connectivity as quickly as possible."
