The celebrated street artist KAWS, real name Brian Donnelly, has put his X mark on luxury watchmaking, bringing his beloved Companion character to a limited run of Audemars Piguet timepieces that’s sure to make collectors' hearts tick faster.

Known for his signature “Companion” figure, KAWS has now brought the character to life through the unique Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon "Companion", turning a watch into something that feels both sophisticated and whimsically unexpected.

This limited-edition watch—restricted to just 250 pieces—features KAWS's iconic Companion character gazing out from beneath the sapphire crystal. The design is cleverly crafted to highlight the character using a peripheral time display, where hour and minute hands gracefully rotate along the edge of the watch, leaving the focus on the Companion's features.

The watch’s 43-mm case, made entirely of titanium, brings a futuristic feel, complementing the bold and playful design of KAWS. The Companion character itself—complete with X-shaped eyes and an exposed chest—sits proudly on the titanium dial plate, enhanced by a sunburst pattern. The alternating satin-brushed and sandblasted finishes add depth, drawing attention to the details that make this collaboration special.

Powering this artistic creation, priced at an eye-watering 200,000 Swiss francs (US$226,280), is Audemars Piguet's new hand-wound Calibre 2979 movement, complete with a tourbillon at the six o'clock position.
