The debut happened during the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix, kicking off a multi-year partnership between the two iconic brands. Marking Formula 1's 75th anniversary, these sets will be launching in early 2025, bringing the thrill of the racetrack into the homes of LEGO and F1 enthusiasts alike. For the first time, all 10 Formula 1 teams are getting their LEGO debut. The collection will include LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO City, LEGO DUPLO, and LEGO Collectibles—something for everyone, from toddlers to die-hard racing enthusiasts. The Speed Champions sets are tailored for those who love building detailed models, while the Collectibles series will feature all 10 teams in miniature form, plus F1 and F1 Academy-branded show cars. The DUPLO kit is designed to share the fun of racing with the youngest builders. Featuring a starting grid, podium, two race cars, and drivers, it lets little ones get creative by customizing their builds with any of the 10 teams’ liveries. Meanwhile, LEGO City’s F1 range includes six different sets that bring the Grand Prix experience to life—from team garages to pit stops—perfect for anyone who wants to recreate a race weekend at home. “Formula 1 and the LEGO Group are proud to unveil the first product range of our partnership,” notes Formula 1's chief commercial officer Emily Prazer. “This fantastic range caters to our entire fan base, with each set celebrating a crucial element and the intricate details of the world of Formula 1, from the pitstops and team garages to the car itself. We share our fans excitement to see this special partnership come to life and I cannot wait for fans to start building.” Additionally, LEGO announced two special sets for older builders. The LEGO Icons Williams Racing FW14B & Nigel Mansell is a tribute to one of the most iconic cars and drivers in F1 history. This 799-piece set includes working steering, Goodyear-labeled rear tires, and a replica of the car’s engine that powered Nigel Mansell to his 1992 championship. LEGO also partnered with Scuderia Ferrari to create the LEGO Technic Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car. With 1,361 pieces, this intricate build features an opening DRS, Pirelli slick tires, and a V6 engine—giving fans an up-close look at the technology behind Ferrari’s race cars. All the sets will be available in early 2025, with DUPLO and City sets arriving in January, Speed Champions in March, and LEGO Collectibles in May. Fans can grab these from LEGO Stores and the LEGO website worldwide. https://www.lego.com/en-us/categories/f1 Images: LEGO Quote
