Amid a surge in luxury watch thefts, French company OrKos has come up with a clever way to deter would-be thieves: the Watchlock clasp. This innovative device is designed to keep the  timepieces securely fastened to the wearer's wrist, making it a lot trickier for anyone to swipe these high-end timepieces.

 

 

Crafted from stainless steel, the Swiss-made, patented clasp features a micro-locking system that requires a key to operate. When the key is removed, the clasp locks in place, preventing both accidental removal and intentional theft. According to OrKos, it’s the world's first bracelet clasp with an integrated micro-locking mechanism. The accessory is easily installed in minutes by replacing the original clip, and it is made to blend harmoniously with the look of the watch band, enhancing security without sacrificing style.

 

 

The Watchlock system currently supports several Rolex models, including the Airking, DateJust, and Daytona. At a price of about 680 euros ($710 USD), it comes with all the tools needed for a minutes-long installation and even includes a key holder for easy access.
