KFC x Burger King forgo their rivalry for once to launch 'BFF Burgers'

Normally, Burger King and KFC would more likely engage in a food fight than sit down at the same table. Somehow, they’ve decided to overcome their differences with a little collaboration that will have you double-dipping into both chains. 

 

Both iconic brands have cooked up their own limited-edition BFF Burger, available in France from November 27 to December 16, 2024.

 

 

The BFF Burger comes loaded on a sesame seed bun, filled with iceberg lettuce, fresh tomatoes, crispy onions, cheddar cheese, and a distinct white BBQ sauce that ties it all together.

 

 

The main choice here is between KFC's crispy fried chicken or Burger King's flame-grilled beef, meaning fans of both proteins get their own version of this unlikely partnership.

 

 

And it’s not just carnivores who get to enjoy the collaboration. Both KFC and Burger King will be offering vegetarian-friendly versions of the BFF Burger, making sure that everyone can get a taste of this temporary truce.

 

 

In a joint spot, Burger King and KFC lean into the unusual nature of this rivalry-turned-friendship, featuring employees from both chains working together in playful and humorous scenarios.

In addition, both brands have swapped out their typical social media profile pictures to express their newfound love for one another.

 

 

Per Le Parisien, Burger King and KFC have shared in a press release that they’ve “decided to put their rivalry aside” for the duration of this stunt.

 

This fleeting mashup keeps things fresh, reminding us all that, sometimes, even the fiercest of rivals can put their differences aside for the greater (delicious) good.
