This detailed set, set to launch on January 1, 2025, lets da Vinci’s vision take flight—but with bricks instead of feathers. The LEGO Icons Leonardo da Vinci’s Flying Machine is modeled after da Vinci’s ornithopter, the bird-like contraption he famously designed to explore human-powered flight. The 493-piece set comes with textile-covered wings that can be flapped, as well as a tail mechanism driven by strings, pulleys, and hinges, mirroring the inventor’s sketches.
