Tesla Cybertruck collision and combustion leaves 3 dead, 1 seriously wounded

A Tesla Cybertruck carrying four young adults crashed and burst into flames early Wednesday morning in Piedmont, California, killing three occupants and leaving one with serious injuries. The crash happened around 3:10 a.m. as the group was heading back from an event that authorities have yet to specify.

 

Piedmont Police Chief Jeremy Bowers noted that speed was likely a contributing factor in the incident, though the precise circumstances remain under investigation. The aftermath was catastrophic—first responders arrived to find the truck entirely engulfed in flames. Initial efforts to control the fire proved futile until the Piedmont Fire Department intervened to contain the blaze.

 

 

The four individuals involved in the crash had all graduated from Piedmont High School in 2023.

 

Amid the turmoil, a nearby driver stepped in, rescuing the sole survivor before the inferno overtook the vehicle entirely.

 

The victims' identities have not been disclosed, respecting the privacy of the grieving families. The only survivor of the crash is currently receiving medical care for severe injuries.

 

Authorities, including the Piedmont Police Department and California Highway Patrol, are working together to untangle the details of the harrowing incident.
