Administrators Orange Posted November 29 Administrators Posted November 29 Pepsi has nailed it this time. The soft drink giant has crafted the 'Pepsi Ring' in Spain, an accessory designed for those who want to pop open a Pepsi without ruining their manicures. Thanks to a cleverly hidden can opener, it comes to the rescue of anyone who's ever feared the dreaded nail-chip that comes with opening a soda can. This functional piece of jewelry, made from 925 sterling silver and adorned with white zirconia stones, was crafted in collaboration with Long Play Jewels, design studio Lúcid, and creative agency PS21 under the Jungle family. It has a discreet can opener feature on its underside, specifically designed to work with Pepsi cans. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pepsi España (@pepsi_es) Using the ring is simple. Wear it on your middle finger, position the can’s tab through the opener on the underside of the ring, and pull to lift the tab. The thoughtful design of the accessory ensures you can crack open your Pepsi while keeping your nails pristine. The idea for the Pepsi Ring was born after Bad Gyal, a popular Spanish singer, vented her frustration on social media about breaking a nail while trying to open a can. Her complaint struck a chord with many, inspiring the brand to develop a solution that was both stylish and useful. To honor Bad Gyal's influence, Pepsi even created a custom ring for her—a version made with yellow gold and set with diamonds. Luke Gillman, PepsiCo's design director for Europe, emphasizes the craftsmanship involved in creating the ring, pointing out how the textures and polished details mirror the shape of a Pepsi can, making it more than just practical—it’s also a statement piece. Meanwhile, Nuria Bombardó, marketing and insights director for PepsiCo Beverages in Spain, describes the ring as representing the bold, rebellious nature of those looking for authentic self-expression. The Pepsi Ring is available in limited quantities, and interested individuals can register for one through Pepsi’s official channels. It comes in multiple sizes, fitting both women and men. https://www.vogue.es/moda/branded/pepsi-ring-anillo-innovador-estilo-funcionalidad https://www.elperiodico.com/cuore/cuore_fashion/pepsi-revoluciona-moda-urbana-lanzamiento-anillo-pepsi-ring-111883905 Images: Pepsi Spain and JUNGLE Quote
