Community Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 Nike and renowned sushi restaurant Nobu have teamed up to create a delicious pair of Air Force 1s. The partnership follows Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, the owner of Nobu, and Chris Stamp of the clothing company Stampd’s collaborative work on the fashion collective Beverly Hills Sushi Club. The ‘Sushi Force 1’ is a play on the Air Force 1s that has taken the classic triple white look and specially stamped it with the Beverly Hills Sushi Club by the heel and on its tongue. Sat in the middle of the logo is a pair of chopsticks.Matsuhisa and Stamp’s contributions to the kicks are acknowledged by printing their last names on the ends of the shoelaces. Moreover, the cooperation replaces the standard ‘AF1’ on the dubrae with a customized ‘SF1’ emblem on the laces. Stamp had taken to Instagram first to announce the sneakers stating in his caption: “Honored to have worked together with @Nike and @therealnobu to create a limited amount of ‘SF-1s’. With the AF1 being my favorite shoe of all time and a true staple of Los Angeles, much like the menu at Matsuhisa, it was only right to add this one to the uniform.” Read full article
