Meta’s Threads Takes Aim At X (Formerly Twitter) By Offering A Free Edit Button

Meta-owned social media app Threads recently announced it will be rolling out two significant updates—including the highly anticipated edit button and the option to post voice clips with “karaoke-style transcription.”

The introduction of the edit button will allow users to correct mistakes in their posts without having to delete and repost.

Unlike its counterpart X (formerly Twitter), which took 16 years to implement an edit button that requires a paid subscription to access, Threads is offering the functionality for free to all users, both on mobile and the web.
