Dutch design firm MVRDV recently completed a retail store for Tiffany & Co within Singapore’s busy Changi Airport. This establishment stands out for its eco-conscious design and oceanic-inspired aesthetics.

During the design phase, MVRDV’s creative team drew inspiration from the local environment, particularly Singapore’s vibrant coral reefs, to establish a thematic direction for the store.

By examining the intricate patterns found in various coral species, the studio employed these natural blueprints as a reference point. Leveraging insights derived from the research, the design team then landed on a screen intended to envelop the store’s exterior with an organic, coral-inspired pattern.
