Garth Gator
While Wendy’s had her pigtails yanked for suggesting the introduction of “dynamic pricing,” in which menu prices could be adjusted based on demand, the fast-food chain appears to now be righting its wrongs. Wendy’s is now celebrating March Madness with a special promotion, offering Dave’s Single burgers for $1 or Dave’s Double burgers for $2. The deal is part of its efforts to “fuel the fandom” during the NCAA Basketball Tournament, for which it is the official hamburger sponsor. Wendy’s aims to provide college basketball fans and athletes with quality fresh, never frozen beef to enjoy throughout the tournament. To take advantage of this moment, value-conscious customers need to add either a Dave’s Single or Dave’s Double to their order in the Wendy’s app, then apply the discount found on the offer page in-app. This deal is available from now until April 10. It’s important to note that customers must be a Wendy’s member to participate in the offer, and it can only be redeemed once during its run. The introduction of the $1 or $2 Dave’s burgers arrives amidst a trend of “inflation-fighting menus” across the fast-food industry. Wendy’s might have drawn beef earlier, but it’s compensating with some meaty offers. https://www.foodandwine.com/wendys-march-madness-burger-deals-8604311 https://nypost.com/2024/03/05/lifestyle/wendys-is-selling-1-burgers-after-dynamic-pricing-madness/ https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2024/03/05/wendys-march-madness-deal-cheeseburgers/72848544007/ Image: Erik Lattwein | Dreamstime.com
