Wattpad's next chapter sees them let go around 20 team members. This leaves them with about 200 people on board.

The move is apparently tied to cost-cutting efforts from their LA parent firm Webtoon Entertainment. They're eyeing an IPO in the US, so it looks like they're leaning up before making the leap.

I wouldn't call this a plot twist...
