Is Xbox Live down? [July 2, 2024]

Xbox Live is down for tens of thousands of players on July 2, according to Downdetector.

 

Based on data showing on the outage tracking service, the volume of user reports surged since around 1:52PM Eastern Time, and has remained at an elevated level for past few hours.

 

On its official status page, Xbox has acknowledged a "major outage" issue affecting account sign-ins starting 2:07PM EDT. At 7:39PM, a resolution is still pending.

 

"You may not be able to sign-in to your Xbox profile, may be disconnected while signed in, or have other related problems. Features that require sign-in like most games, apps and social activity won't be available," the Microsoft gaming platform detailed.

 

 

In the meantime, many Xbox gamers is turning to social media to vent their frustration.

Ok here it goes can't log In finally logged in can't finish xbox series x setup then says not connected to internet which shows I'm connected to internet get several errors urgh contacted xbox support they located issue but are still working on resolving the issue but won't say what is the exact issue so yes they confirmed that people can't log in play games setup xbox series x or s can't use phone app to do setup urgh give it a couple of hours or maybe tomorrow like urgh urgh urgh 

Earlier today I had to do factory reset where I keep profiles and games bow I'm like come on man really seriously I just paid my subscription on two accounts today and now this when this happens

You'd think that an order game could save to the console
