It turns out, all that excitement was based on a rumor that fizzled out faster than a cheap firework. Fueled by the event’s location (Paris being a fashion hub) and the upcoming Olympics (owned by LVMH, the conglomerate housing Louis Vuitton), speculation swirled about a special edition foldable phone co-branded with a luxury marque from the LVMH stable. Even local news outlets fanned the flames, suggesting an “Olympic” phone themed around one of LVMH's many brands. However, reality soon put the kibosh on those dreams. Samsung officially poured cold water on the rumors, with a company representative firmly denying any collaboration with LVMH on either a special edition phone or an “Olympic” device.
