'Call of Boba' is a cozy new game where you sell bubble tea, battle for ingredients & form relationships

Bubbling with charm and steeped in adventure, Call of Boba is a casual pixel art game that will soon brew into launch. Developed by Santa Cruz-based studio Tomatoast, this cozy pixel art adventure game invites players to step into the shoes of a bubble tea shop owner tasked with saving their struggling business. This is no ordinary management sim, though—between concocting the perfect cup of tea and fighting off enemies for inspiration, players will find themselves fully immersed in a world that’s as heartwarming as it is adorable.

 

 

Players will take on the day-to-day tasks of running a boba tea shop, managing inventory, unlocking new recipes, and farming ingredients. But as the game progresses, the town outside the tea shop becomes a world of its own. You can build relationships with customers, complete town tasks, and maybe even find love along the way.

 

 

 

 

 

And when the sun sets, don’t be surprised if enemies pop up in your dreams—armed with boba-based weapons, you’ll need to defeat them for sweet, creative inspiration.

 

 

 

While the core gameplay focuses on running the tea shop, players will also venture beyond its doors to engage in side quests, mini-games, and even some fishing trips. The town is filled with quirky characters to meet and storylines to uncover.
