Orange
Rise and shine, gamers! Nintendo is about to level up your morning routine with a daily wake-up call. Alarmo, priced at $99.99, is an interactive “sound clock” that brings a nostalgic twist. It responds to movement, allowing users to snooze alarms with gestures while waking up to sounds and music from popular games. Equipped with motion sensors, Alarmo responds to your nocturnal tossing and turning with playful sound effects from five beloved titles: Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. For example, can rise with the cheerful chime of Mario’s coins, start your day on a Hyrulian adventure with Link and Zelda, or stir awake with Splatoon’s signature paintball splashes. To add to the fun, each game theme doesn’t just bring its unique soundscape; it also transforms the clock's display. Mario fans will wake up to blocky, retro-style numerals, while Zelda enthusiasts might squint at a more ornate, serif typeface. You can choose between ‘Steady Mode’ or ‘Gentle Mode’. For those who need a bit more motivation, the Steady Mode gradually intensifies the alarm. Overstay your welcome in dreamland, and you might find yourself face-to-face with Bowser—talk about a rude awakening! If that's too intense, there’s also a Gentle Mode for a more consistent wake-up call, and a traditional Button Mode for those who prefer the classic snooze experience. Want to wind down before sleep? Alarmo has soothing “sleepy sounds” to help you drift off. The device even tracks your sleep movements, allowing you to check your nightly ‘Records’. By linking your Nintendo Account, you’ll also be able to download scenes from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons through free updates, adding even more variety to your morning ritual. Currently, Alarmo is available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members in the US and Canada through My Nintendo Store, or for purchase at the Nintendo NY store without a membership. https://www.cnet.com/tech/gaming/nintendo-just-made-an-alarm-clock-called-alarmo/ https://www.ign.com/articles/forget-switch-2-nintendo-just-released-a-100-interactive-alarm-clock-called-alarmo https://www.gematsu.com/2024/10/nintendo-announces-nintendo-sound-clock-alarmo-alarm-clock Images: Nintendo of America [1][2]
