Super Bowl LVIII has ignited a digital firestorm, and at the heart of it lies Tesla, Inc. and its self-driving technology. The Dawn Project, a tech initiative with a mission to enhance software safety, has launched a bold campaign during the Super Bowl. Their message? Boycott Tesla. Yes, you read that right.

In a pair of hard-hitting ads, The Dawn Project urges consumers to steer clear of Tesla’s products and stock. Their bone of contention? The alleged dangers lurking within Tesla’s self-driving software. The ads point fingers at Elon Musk, Tesla’s enigmatic founder, accusing him of putting unfinished, risky technology on our roads. The stakes are high, and the battle lines are drawn.

Last year, The Dawn Project made waves with an ad showing Tesla vehicles seemingly using the Full Self-Driving feature. In a chilling sequence, these electric marvels collided with child-sized dummies in a school crosswalk and even a fake baby in a stroller. The impact was visceral, and the message clear: Tesla’s software isn’t road-safe. The Dawn Project’s president, Dan O’Dowd, minced no words: “It’s completely intolerable. Why would Tesla not turn off its self-driving features on roads that it knows are not safe on? This one thing will save lives and will cost Tesla absolutely nothing.”

But here’s the twist: Tesla’s official stance is that Autopilot, Enhanced Autopilot, and Full Self-Driving features are designed to reduce driver workload and enhance safety. Yet, The Dawn Project claims to have a treasure trove of video evidence showing these features malfunctioning under various road conditions. The battle rages on, and the public is caught in the crossfire.

What’s your take? Is Tesla’s self-driving tech a game-changer or a ticking time bomb? Share your thoughts below! 🤔
