YouTube’s ‘Create’ app is seen as a direct competitor to TikTok’s creative tools. It offers an easy-to-use suite of free tools for making videos on the go. From editing videos to using creative tools like stickers, GIFs, and effects, ‘Create’ aims to address specific challenges that creators face1. It even includes a built-in voiceover tool that comes with automatic and editable captions.

One of the key features of ‘Create’ is its ability to upload clips, split and trim videos, use effects, and access royalty-free music to complement their videos. These songs, which are copyright-safe, also sync the beats of the song to the video clips, similar to TikTok. Another popular tool, Audio Cleanup, leverages a denoising model to reduce background and ambient noise and enhance the audio quality of users’ clips recorded on their smartphones.

By offering a suite of tools just for YouTube creators, the company hopes to capture more of the market that prefers to use standalone tools for editing videos. With the expansion of ‘Create’, YouTube is not just enhancing its platform but also setting a new trend in the digital content creation space.

As YouTube continues to innovate and expand its offerings, one can’t help but wonder what the future holds for digital content creation. How do you think this expansion of YouTube’s ‘Create’ app will impact the digital content creation landscape? Share your thoughts!
