Trendingger
Google has announced updates to its search algorithms to combat the increasing issue of SEO spam and automated content. This development comes in response to growing complaints about the decline in the quality of search results. The tech giant is set to refine its core ranking systems to better understand if webpages are unhelpful, have a poor user experience, or feel like they were created for search engines instead of people. The changes, which are expected to take effect in May, aim to keep the lowest-quality content out of search. Google’s new approach targets AI-generated SEO spam, a growing problem where sites generate low-value content at scale. The company is strengthening its stance against sites that generate garbage automated articles, as well as human-created spam. The updates will allow Google to take action on more types of content with little to no value created at scale. The changes are expected to increase traffic to high-quality sites and reduce spammy, unoriginal search results by 40 percent. This is a significant step towards improving the quality of content we see online. Google’s latest updates to its search algorithms represent a significant step towards improving the quality of search results and combating SEO spam. But what do you think? Will these changes lead to a noticeable improvement in the quality of search results? Or will they simply lead to new forms of SEO manipulation? Share your thoughts below.
