Omega, the revered Swiss watchmaker, has just launched a captivating addition to its iconic Speedmaster collection: the Speedmaster Moonwatch with a lacquered white dial. This timepiece pays homage to Omega’s storied history in space exploration, drawing inspiration from astronaut spacesuits and the brand’s enduring connection with NASA.

The watch boasts a 42 mm stainless-steel case housing the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 movement—an updated version of the Calibre 321 trusted by astronauts during lunar missions.

While the original 1957 Speedmaster featured a black dial with white hands and indexes, the new Moonwatch flips the script. Its glossy lacquered white dial is paired with black detailing and applied indexes, creating a striking contrast.

The red script “Speedmaster” beneath Omega’s logo adds a pop of color, reminiscent of the lines denoting a commander’s rank on spacesuits.

The watch comes with a vintage-inspired stainless-steel bracelet, but enthusiasts can opt for a black micro-perforated leather strap with red and white stitching or an anti-bacterial rubber strap featuring a moon-surface pattern on the underside.

The Moonwatch has a rich legacy—it was officially used by NASA astronauts since 1965 and famously became the first watch worn on the moon. The black-and-white color scheme evokes the spacesuits donned by astronauts during their historic missions.

For those eager to own this celestial timepiece, the new Moonwatch comes with a starting price of $8,100. Whether you’re a space enthusiast or simply appreciate exceptional craftsmanship, the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch with its lacquered white dial awaits your exploration.
