The outage left users unable to log in, prompting them to voice their frustrations on other social media platforms. This incident occurred just a day after Facebook and Instagram also suffered outages, leaving users scrambling for a social media fix. The cause of the LinkedIn outage remains unknown yet. LinkedIn, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2016, had been gradually shifted over to Microsoft Azure since 2019. Interestingly, the cloud platform did not appear to be experiencing any wider issues at the time. The outage, which lasted for about an hour around March 6, 12:50 PST, saw about 48,000 reports of users being unable to access their LinkedIn accounts.
