Trendingger Posted April 3 Posted April 3 OpenAI has recently introduced a new feature for its image-generating AI model, DALL-E, allowing users to tweak specific elements within the images generated. The DALL-E editor interface enables users to select an area of the image to edit and describe the desired changes in chat. Users can also provide a prompt with their desired edit in the conversation panel, without using the selection tool. This feature is designed to give users more control over their creative vision. DALL-E’s new editing feature is not just about making changes to existing images. It also allows users to add, remove, and update parts of the image. For instance, users can highlight the top corner of the image and use the prompt “Add cherry blossoms,” to obtain a new image with cherry blossoms added. This feature is a testament to the growing sophistication of AI technology. However, OpenAI acknowledges the potential risks and ethical concerns associated with the deceptiveness of AI-generated images. The company is researching ways to help people identify when an image was created with AI. They are working on an internal tool to decipher AI- versus human-generated art, and promise to share more soon. How will the introduction of DALL-E’s new image editing feature reshape the landscape of AI and image generation? What impact will it have on other industry-leading image editors?
