The tech giant showcased three gaming consoles in total: a special edition of the Series X with 2 terabytes of storage and, most notably, disc-less models of the Xbox Series X and S consoles. This hardware refresh is expected to boost Xbox sales, providing stiff competition to Sony’s PlayStation 5. Microsoft also previewed more than a dozen games, including the next installment of “Call of Duty” and "Doom: The Dark Ages". The company is betting big on its subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, with a number of these games being available on the platform on the day of launch.
